Recently, data from the 2013 National Nursing Workforce Survey of Registered Nurses were released. The survey was a collaborative effort between the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) and the National Forum of State Workforce Nursing Centers. The NCSBN has published national-level findings from the survey in a report (report can be found here: https://www.ncsbn.org/688.htm). State Boards of Nursing were sent Excel files with the data for their individual states. To support states in the analysis of the data they received from NCSBN, we have developed a file containing Stata code that can be used to clean and organize your state’s raw survey data, as well as perform some basic descriptive analysis.
